1996 Epiphone Les Paul Elite
The TV'Tron TV Classic pickups really made this thing a great guitar. My bandmate likes their sound so much that he plans to get a pair for his Epiphone Explorer.

Thanks! Even with the semi-hollow body, the thing weighs a ton with all that gold on it... Even the jackplate (not visible in the pic) is gold metal... I'm thinking of getting some gold pinstriping done on it too...

Gold-plated strings? Is that only for the look, or are they also supposed to enhance tone?

The Optima gold strings are very bright and long-lasting. But they also would look good on this guitar. But I won't put them on until the guitarist in my band stops using my guitar and starts using his own. He still has crappy stock pickups, but wants to get TV Classics in TV Tron mounts like mine. He also seems to break strings with regularity. The gold strings are much pricier...
