Another Sucess story! Reg: Jay Turser JTXG2 Hey Tom (TV),
Another -*test*-('")imony on your great pickups!
I know you're very busy these days probably get tons of E-mails ... but your pickups in this new guitar I recently got sound so good, Beyond my wildest expectations that I had to tell you!!!
I got one of these new double neck Jay Turser JTXG2's (http://www.instrumentpro.com/P-JAYJTXG2.html) and the stock pickups were pretty good, kind of SG like, nice highs, some twang factor almost like a good Fender Jazzmaster in some ways too, Good sounding Gibson SG ... anyway I got a second from where I teach (B. street Music in San Mateo, Calif.).
The second was nice to but varied alittle, tiny bit darker... so I decided I'm going to "TV Jones" or "Gretschify" this ones since I'm a big Gretsch Fan ,,, and yet still have this 12 string attached via the other neck ... Who could ask for more!!!! :) The 12 string half sounds better then my Rickenbacker 12 string 360 so ,,,
So, I ordered a set of your classics with the English mount early last week, talked to your pleasant secretary and they came in yesterday.
We'll today with much anxiety and aniticipation I put them in with my amateur soldering skills that get by and they just fit right in like a glove, mounts and everything! Took me about 45 careful mintues with a few phone calls I had to answer in between, unscrewing all the surround, pickguards, grafting the leads Anyway, I just finally finished!!!, ,,, plugged er' in and Wow!!!
This things sounds just like a full blown Gretsch like a Duo Jet, Country Gent, Falcon all into one!
Beyond my expectations!!!
I was worried since I'm using the Jay Turser wiring and pots that there may be alittle discrepency but No! It sounds Fabulous like any Gretsch affecianato would want and on top of that I have the 12 string and sound for that option.
Two fine guitars in one!
I tell you this new Jay Turser Double neck kills and the price is a steal and putting in your TV Jones Classics just makes it that much better!
Shhhh, don't tell too many people our secret for everybody will buy em' up!
Keep up the good work!
