DynaTron variation pickups on a Gretsch G5235 Pro Jet
Hey all. My Pro Jet is soon to be put through some fairly extensive modifications: New Grover tuners Complete silver/teflon rewire New oil in paper 3300pF military NOS tonecap New military fine taper pots New Gretsch rocking bar bridge (mine will be fixed) New custom pickguard New TV Jones Powertron pickups My question is regarding the pickups, I was originally going to be mounting a pair of Dynasonic single coils in the guitar, but I decided I liked the Powertrons better. However, I loved the look of the Dynasonics, so I was pretty happy to discover TV Jones builds the Powertrons in the DynaTron variation. My question is whether it is possible at all to install DynaTron style pickups in this guitar? I'll be taking it to a Luthier for installation, so this wont be a DIY job. But I'd like an idea of what he will need to do (and what I'll have to pay for) to install these pickups in my Pro Jet. Any help regarding this would be very appreciated :) Cheers all
