electromatic Hi! I have a few questions. I own a Gretsch Electromatic ProJet with Bigsby. I am considering upgrading the pickups when i get enough money for it.
I was considering getting a Super'Tron for the neck position and a Power'Tron for the bridge position. Do you think this could be a good combination? And can they both be installed on my ProJet?
Also, i have one problem. I am from Romania and there is no distributor for your pickups here. If i order from your site, do you send here? Or can i order any other way?
Thank you very much,
Alex

The Super'tron will work well with the Power'tron. The Super'tron neck should have a smooth clear tone and the Power'tron bridge should have a full bodied tone, with great dynamics and plenty of punch.
We ship all over the world, you can order direct using our shopping cart.
There may be some issues installing our pickups in the newer Pro Jets. We will post some detailed photos on our home page showing how to check the depths of the pickup cavities along with some installation tips. We should have this up by next week.
Thanks,
TV Jones

pro jet I also own a Pro Jet with minihumbuckers, and I noticed in the mod section that any TV Classic (short poles) with a pickup surround would fit. The neck pickup cavity is pretty deep, would I have to re-shim it so the pickup can rest properly? The bridge pickup cavity seems ok.

I have a Supertron/neck powertron plus/bridge in my electromatic and they work very well together. I would highly recommend it.

Hi,
I installed Power'Trons in my Pro Jet in last spring, and I think they are great. Sound is kind of thicker than with original mini-humbuckers, but they still have that single coil "twang". And they look great. PU:s are with short polepices, and PU cavities needed little deepening. Below is few pics from the mod work and it's result.

Great job. This is exactly how I am going to Mod my Pro Jet. I am waiting for the Gold Non-Bigsby version. It is on back order at GC till early February.

Thanks!
It's not that big job to change original PU:s, and I think that was worth that. That sparkle gold looks really nice on Jet BTW.
I think you should change the original pickguard at the same time, if you are going to change the PU:s. Original pickguard doesn't fit with TV Jones PU:s nicely, and the color isn't right. I got my pickguard from there:

I will definately swap the pickguard also. Thanks for the link.

Quick question...
I ordered some powertrons' for my Electromatic Jet... I've heard that I need a certain mount from many different people.. From my guitar tech, I heard I need a direct fit replacement, the peeps at TV Jones say Standard with no ears, then I've heard English mount..
Im confused, I went with the no ears, standard mount, TV Jones said that was correct.. But now I am unsure.. I would hate to have return the pickups after to waiting 3 weeks and have to wait again... :?
Any help would be nice.. Thanks

You will need the standard mount with no ears and short pole screws. If you look at the pictures of the gold Pro Jet on our site, you will notice filler wood blocks on both sides of the pickups. The filler blocks make it possible to screw the pickup surround screws into the top (something to bite into).
The English mount would require deeper cavities and would still need filler
blocks for the pickup surround screws. The filler blocks would interfere with
the pickup adjustment.
Thanks,
TV Jones

Made just some new modifications, and changed the bridge to roller model. Bridge is "Gibson style", so it needed bigger holes for studs, but basically it is direct fit. They have same measures etc. I think it works just fine and it looks nice too.
