G5120 needs balance As with most of my guitars, when I switch to the neck pickup my sound turns to mud. I am in search of the best combo of pickups that will work for me in a live situation.
The output of the current pickups are ok, but they are missing a bit of the chime I would like to hear. I like to use the neck pup to play leads, but when the bridge pup is dialed in I lose all detail in my neck pup. I quickly switch back to the bridge pup for more detail. But, the bridge pup does not have the warmth and fullness I am looking for when playiing a lead.
Would a combo of a Classic and a TVHT1 my my solution? I am looking forward to solutions to my problem.
I am sure any TV Jones pickup will improve my tone, but I am looking for the correct combo of pickups.
Oh this my help. I have a three piece band that plays songs that range from the Rolling Stones, The Cult, Ramones and Tom Petty to Brian Setzer Scotty Moore and Reverand Horton Heat. (I know....a huge range in songs).
My main amp is Reverend Kingsnake set on the Vox settings.

I ordered and plan to put the TV Classics in my new 5120 I will let you know how it goes. I thought I might try a hotter PU for the bridge but I am going to take a chance on a like pair. PS I like the 5120 the craftsmanship is great but it is a bit flat sounding with the stock pickups.
