My modded 5120
Great to see this new forum! Please see: http://www.larryguzik.com/gretsch for my modded 5120. Mods include: TV Classics w/EM mount, TV Jones wiring harness, nickel control knobs, Schaller strap locks, tune-a-matic bridge with Graphtech saddles, Gretsch pickguard, Sperzel locking tuners, 1 inch Bigsby spring My Ibanez also appears on the above page. The Artcore has TV Trons, but it is in pieces (prepped for surgery) right now as I am modifying the control layout and adding a master volume and relocating the pickup switch. I have been a huge fan of TV Jones for the past 5 years. I have used the Artcore live many times and constantly had people compliement my tone.

Nicely done. I have Schallers on all of my guitars except my 6118T-120. How did that work putting them on your 5120? Don

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with it. I have Scallers on almost all of my guitars too. I like the unique look of the Gretsch strap buttons, but to me, the Schallers are more practical and secure. It was very easy to put them on - same size screw.

Hi everyone! It's nice to have a forum dedicated to the amazing products by TV Jones... Here we go... my favorite guitars with TV Classic and TV Classic Plus in TV'mount in the bridge position (click to enlarge): The instruments are called "Aphrogeeta del Genie" and "Ms. Orange Revolution" :-)

Great looking guitar. I've got a 5120 myself that I've outfitted with some TV Jones. The bridge pickup is a Powertron plus and the neck is a Supertron.

i'm sorry, i know i'm resurrecting an old topic. great photos! i have a question: how hard was the 5120 mod, getting the gretsch rings to fit the standard humbuckers? did you have to redrill? thanks!

i'm sorry, i know i'm resurrecting an old topic. great photos! i have a question: how hard was the 5120 mod, getting the gretsch rings to fit the standard humbuckers? did you have to redrill? I did fill the existing holes and re-drill for the gretsch style rings on both of my 5120s on the orange one I carefully filed down the plastic on the rings(to fit the humbuckers)and checked the fit frequently during the filing process they still did bulge outward a bit when sliding them over the humbuckers -it was kind of a tight fit.
