That's the way to describe tone...wow. And you are right about the supertron. I have it in neck position and play a lot Chet-like fingerpicking. It's just warm, clear and smooth but can be raw. The combination supertron/classic is the best I've ever had in a guitar. And believe me...I've tried a lot of different pickups but also in different guitars like Epiphones, teles, strats and DeArmond. I think it depends on what styles you play. I'm about to put two classics in my Gretsch Electromatic gold sparkle pro-jet... I thought of powertrons...but and invisible guitarplayer in my head tells me to stick with the classics so I better do that. I will also add a Bigsby B-7, Chet-arm, rocking bar bridge and Imperial tuners. This time it will not be true to the originals but what the heck.....I'm not going to sell it to anyone....and should I skip the guitar I will still have the parts for a new project. Before I end this I have a question someone may answer.....I bought a graphite nut from an E-bay shop and received it some days ago. But to me it looks like black plastic. It should be lubric or greasy in some way I thought and it can't even draw i line on a piece of paper. Have I been fooled or should I just put it on my guitar. It should help the guitar stay in tune when using a Bigsby....not that I have any problems with that but just to make it perfect.... Jimmy
