Nickel; a better choice for TV Classics? I notice that the TV'Tron mount uses nickel/silver alloy for its' full-enclosure cover. I am planning on using TV Classics on my 5120, but was wondering if there were any benifit in using the nickel option over the chrome or gold on this partially open configuration?
......EDIT....Oops, never mind.....Brass covers.

Brass can lose it's luster over time, eventually taking on a light patina. I tend to lean towards metals like brass/nickel just for this reason. If you want things to stay nice and shiny without much polishing, go with chrome or gold.

We use electroless nickel plating under our chrome and gold, our nickel plating is standard. Electroless nickel doesn't interrupt the magnetic field
like standard nickel plating does.
I recommend chrome for the 5120 in the EM-2 English mounting option.

Thanks for the chrome recommendation. I was leaning toward chrome simply for its' ease of maintenance and durability over the long haul. It's nice to know that chrome is actually the recommended option.8)
Thanx. :)

Chrome is a good option for the 5120 mainly because it has chrome plated
parts (knobs, tuners, etc..)
Thanks,
