I have a Gretsch 5120 and am about to buy TV Classics for both bridge and neck with the English Mount. I'm not the most competent person with a soldering iron. I switched the 3-way switch of my Fender 52RI, and there was this major hum, so I needed to take it to a tech. Ground issues. I think I just answered my question... the one I haven't asked... I think I'll take it to a tech and have it done well. Assuming you guys agree. Thanks

Well as long as you take care and take your time, you can do it! My first wiring job I ever did was on a hollowbody, I replaced everything. Pain in the ass, I tell you what. Anyways, just make sure everything is grounded. There's wiring diagrams everywhere, you just need to find one that suits you. Mr. Jones can probably give you a wiring diagram. If you've got any more questions about grounding, more specific questions, I'm no expert but I can definitely try to lend a hand.
