p90 vs p'tron mount
I've posted this somewhere else but it doesn't seem to get much response. I currently have a Gibson ES-135. It came with P-90-style pickups I would love to swap out the stock pickup for a classic with p'tron mount. But as I compare the pictures with my stock pick up the mounting screws seem to be in a different place. That is, they seem to be more on the outsides than towards the center. Can anyone please tell me if I'm seeing this correctly before i order them.

I have just finished the mod you are talking about (I opted for a Power'Tron+ in the bridge position and a Power'Tron in the neck position) and the P-Tron mounting works like a charm. There was not cutting of the guitar to do, but the mounting is, as you gussed, a little different. ES-135's have metal plates down in the body of the guitar that the stock p-90's (actually p-100's) bolt into. My luthier removed the plates, drilled holes in the plates to match the mounting screws on the new TV Jones pickups, tapped the new holes and everything bolted together as slick as a ribbon. Hope this helps you (although my response time is kind of slow).
