Powertron in a Strat pickguard
I was wondering  I found an older MIJ Strat that is really... the best strat at any price i've played in MANY years... if not ever. It was setup Van Halen style with one vintage Dimarzio in it & has a "Patent Applied For" Kahler trem. This guitar plays like a dream & the trem works so well & stays in tune that I've decided to keep it. It's amazing how Twangy sounding the thing is even with a single Humbucker in it. So many modern Strats seem to have the twang engineered right out of them & this one is REAL twangy even with the hummer ... it's a great guitar. Anyhew... I want to have a pickguard made for it that will accomidate a Powertron in the bridge position. I assume the English Mount will be the right pickup but I was hoping that I could have the specs sent to WD or could you recommend someone to make up the pickguard for me :?: I'm going to stuff a Joe Barden Tele neck pickup in there too. With tone like that this thing stands to see some serious play time! Help?

Goofy request I know but I'm a more modern player who loves Twang & Crunch tones. As Twangy as this guitar is on it's own (somehow) I think the Powertron will be fine. My only concern is the Barden neck pickup may be brighter than the bridge with this setup. I'm afraid the TV Classic won't get me the raw Crunch I'm looking for. Am I wrong?

Hey Chucks.... I have a Classic + in the bridge of my 6120. It'll get very crunchy. Think AC/DC. The Powertron I would think would get you there as well...
