Steel Jazzmaster with TV Jones pickups
Hi everyone, This is my first post here (even though I've lurked from time to time when I was in need for informations) and I'm creating this thread to soon show my new guitar built by an emerging and gifted French luthier called Loïc Le Pape: This will be, as far as I know, the first steel Jazzmaster ever created: the body will be hollow and entirely made of steel. ...and such an exceptional guitar needs to host exceptional pickups: - a Classic Plus for the bridge position - a Magnatron for the neck postion Both in English mount. I already tested those pickups in a Jazzmaster project I did (but parted it back to provide parts for this "SteelMaster"... the project will soon host Supertron's) and I really loved them: I went through tons of pickups to achieve the right mix of body and sparkle I'm after and found that with those pickups. The guitar will be ready in about 10 days, I'll post pics as soon as I can.. In the meantime, here's a little preview I did with photoshop:
