TV Classic covers My covers have a pattent number on them. Can I get covers that say TV Jones on them?

TV Jones will swap the covers but they require you send 'em your pickup so they can do it at the shop (I think it's a warranty thing).

Hi, I have the opposite question; can you order new TV Jones Classics WITH the patent numbers?
tvjones- 10-22-2007
You can order US Pat # 2892371, Pat Applied For, Blank (1958), Hilo'tron open, or TV Jones covers. No extra charge.
Thanks,
TV Jones

Great TV, thanks for the info!

wow
When I order my filtertrons (Classics) I'd love them to have: US Pat # 2892371 across them Instead of TVJones
Nothing agianst the TVJones branding of course. I prefer my Seymour Duncan pickups with no trade name on them either.
People will be able to hear how good my guitar sounds.. I'll tell them they are TVJones P/ups
Where can I see a pic on the TVJones website that shows me the US Pat # 2892371 model??

I have a couple of similar questions/concerns.
I'll be getting a new 5120 after the first of the year and will be going for a 1958 look. Yeah; For me; 58 was a very good year!
I'm also considering going with nickel plating on the pups, but don't know how well they will age over what few years I may have left, and I may wish to swap them for chrome in the future if they don't age as well as I hope "I" will, so the covers being easily user-replacable, if at all possible; would be a real bonus.
EDIT: Yeah....it looks as though some judicious use of an iron and a solder-sipper may be required to replace the covers at home......
....after the warranty period had expired.

Aw phooie! I may be looking at getting my pups and hardware in gold after all!
Darned if Gretsch didn't go and release a dark cherry stain on their 5120 which may make a vaguely passable Country Gent look-alike(kinda-sorta)a real possibility!
I sold my 63 Gent back in 72, and while I wouldn't have bought that particular model new if I'd have known better in those days.....I'd have bought a used 58 or 59 6120 instead...I was still rather attached to the old dear. If only it would have been a deeper, open "F" holed design with at least passable acoustics for real impromptu practicing, I may not have sold it quite so easily.
.....I have in fact missed it deeply for all these years.:(
So yeah; maybe a "new" '58 Gent is in my future!
'58 was a really good year! :D
