TV Classics in a les paul?
It can happen! with the new TV Jones EM-1 English Mount (shown here) or for the traditional look with the TV'Tron Mount.

I love the idea of it but would like to keep the traditional look. Any plans to make them with the traditional nickle cover? Don 2004 6118T-120

We already have the traditional humbucker look. Check out the TV'tron mounting option. A TV Jones pickup in a standard humbucking housing. We had hundreds of request for the suspended Filter'tron look. That is why we developed the new English mounting option (named after guitarmaker Jim English). The TV'tron mounting option came first. Thanks, TV Jones

What about an SG
I was wondering if anyone has put tvjones in an sg. Also is there a place to hear what they sound like in differnt guitars. It just is a hard thing to fork out money to get these pickups and have no idea what kind of effect they will have on my guitar.

I recall several people installing our pickups in SG's with great results. A set of Power'tron's in the TV'tron mounting option would work well. Thanks, TV Jones Oct. 16 2007

I'm looking for a sound between a Gibson and a Gretsch. Twang n crunch!

I'm looking for a sound between a Gibson and a Gretsch. Twang n crunch! I put a set of Powertrons in a LP Special and I couldn't be happier. If your looking for twang and crunch you've come to the right place.

Hello TV Jones. Hello ForumVisotors I´m very interested in havin a Classic Plus or a Powertron (with EM-1 mount) for my Gibson Les Paul Studio. Can´t tell the difference. Need vintage (twang) even as Punch in the low's and especially the lower mids. Look for something inbetween the Steve Jones (Early 70's LP Custom) Sound and the Powerfull Punchin Chris Cheney Vintage Guitar Sounds on "The Living End"-Album "Roll On". (I know he used several Guitars for That, Gretsch two Tone, Gibson SG + LP and maybe more). Important to me is the really awsome Sound of my LP (Wood) shall still stay alive when I play well overdriven. Hope You or someone else can support me to find out... Sincerely to all, Greetings from Berlin, Germany Crywolf

Oh man, I love that album (Roll On), Chris Cheney is a monster player! To get that tone, I'd probably recommend a powertron, but I'd want to see what is recommended by TV Jones

Power Tenny- 03-05-2008

i posted a long post in your other thread mostly about chris' setup, but yea, id recomend powertrons, but thats becasue i have them in my tenny and couldnt be happyer. ive played classics, and i found they were a bit weak for me (ive never played a classic plus before tho) and as far chris' tone goes, i can never get enough of his tone in "blood on your hands", which you can probly get outa both pickups

Thank You for your comments! I agree with you and really would like to know, what TV Jones has to say about it. At this time I'm tending to the Classic plus (I saw on a You Tube Video how Chris played his very clear sounding tennesse but than with probably a tube screamer his guitarsound changed into a powerfull overdrive. On the Living End Album "State Of Emergency" he used Powertrons - but the sound was not that powerful) - but also still don´t know, in which way the thinner wire of an Classic Plus influences the sound. Take care... here I found some infos by Chris himself about the sound of ROLL ON: http://gc.guitarcenter.com/interview/cheney/
