Unplated covers? I want a pair of classics, or a classic and classic plus (not sure yet) with unplated covers, so they look crusty right away! Can I get 'em that way?
Also, what do you guys think? 2 Classics, or 1 Classic and 1 Classic Plus?
It's a 1998 Double Anniversary.

I'm struggling with this choice myself right now.
I lik the sound of the Brian Setzer sig's and they have 2 Classics. I originally thought that a Classic Plus would be a good bridge position choice, but I saw on Sttew-Mac that the Classic is rated at about 4.1 ohms and the Classic Plus is around 7.8.
Now I'm worried that the output might be mismatched. I just switched my order to 2 Classics. I'm still gonna call TV in a bit and ask them about it

I fall somewhere in the cowardly camp. I kinda like the unplated idea to get an old look too, but I think I'll go for the nickel plated instead. I was rather amazed to see how close some of the older gold plated hardware looks compared to dull nickel. I wonder how nickel plate will look in a few years? It may never get down to the look of old gold though.
Nice to see that I can get all the good nickel stuff here as well as the Classics for both pups on my future 5120.
What's exciting is I may be able to exceed the sound of my 65 Gent for only a bit more than I paid for the Gent new, way back in 65!
......if I hadn't sold it back in 72, I'd probably be putting new Classics on IT today!
I had just about worn out the soundclip feature here at this site bouncing around between all the options, but I've always been a Chet fan foremost, and the Classics seem to best fit what I think I'm looking to hear.
