The new Classics I've added to my 5120 are causing increased unrest in our household! Not only has my playing "unplugged and quietly" gone just about completely out the window; but my desire for a new and better amp to take advantage of the beautiful new sweeter more accurate sounds has taken on alarming proportions! I have a couple amps made by our friends on the Eastern side of the Pacific Rim, and they're dandy little practice amps for sure, but having American made pups and an American made instrument cable in the signal path really makes me want to look for home grown amplification as well. And THAT can be a real budget buster! ......although; just like with my beautifully made Korean Gretsch; I suppose I could modify a new Pacific Rim Import with a proper American or European made speaker patterned from the 50s era to get closer to the period sound I'm after.8) It's pretty tricky to inexpensively recreate 1958 in 2008! ....but it sure is lotsa fun! :D
