I've got a Powertron Plus in my Gretsch 5129, and I absolutely love it, but I need a neck pickup. I sold the stock DeArmonds, so I just have a hole at the moment.
I was thinking of just going with a Classic, but I can't get the idea of a Magnatron out of my head.
Has anyone done this? I realize the output will be lower with the Magnatron, but I think it would be worth it. I don't use my neck pups much, but I would like something that will sound good in the "both" position with the Powertron.
