Why doesn't anyone respond in this forum???
I bought a used Gretsch Firebird in mint condition this summer. New tuners, new Tru-Arc Bridge. But, when I plugged it into my brother's Marshall, it had no jangle, no bite and honk.
I also played it through a Marshall Vintage Modern - same thing, not enough growl. So I have no idea what's in this thing - they're Filtertrons, but now I'm thinking maybe the wiring is screwy, or maybe they're out of phase.

First, a few questions. What type of pickups are they? How are they adjusted? What year was the guitar made? |
